Hutan Tanaman Rakyat Program is a Ministry of Forestry initiative that will give the access to the community to actively involved in manage the forest. Responding the program, KHJL is now propose to manage production forest area of 28,116 ha. The analysis of satellite image shows that the actual vegetation in that area is a low potential natural forest, ex-jati area from replanting program by the government (1969/1970 – 1981/1982) and ex-area from hutan tanaman swakelola (1989/1990 –1999/2000). If one day, the government issued a license to KHJL to manage the forest, with the asumption that not all of the area due to technical and proper land respect, you can imagine how much carbon will be stored and sink by this sustainably forest.
